The Brewton Standard is working on projects that will keep our local community informed about events taking place around the world, particularly in the Middle East and Iraq.
The paper hopes to not only inform its readers about developments, but also to help facilitate a dialogue between the community and the servicemen and women that are currently serving in the Armed Forces.
The Standard is collecting information on Brewton-area families that have members serving in the Armed Forces. The paper has put together a simple questionnaire it is asking families to complete and to attach a recent photo. Forms are available at The Standard business office, located at 407 St. Nicholas.
Although most groups are still undecided about public events, Crist encouraged groups to call or fax information about those events to the paper.
For more information about the questionnaires, or to submit events or activities planned for the Brewton area, contact Crist directly at 867-4666.
