Tigers, Blue Eagles named to All-Tournament Team

Both the T.R. Miller Tigers and W.S. Neal Blue Eagles were represented on the All-Tournament team named at the conclusion of the Escambia County baseball tournament played April 17-19 in Atmore.
The Tigers, winners of the tournament with a 3-0 record, were headed by tournament MVP Trent Davidson. Other Tigers cited for their outstanding performances were Brad Lannom, Eli Cook and Randy Holland.
The Blue Eagles locked-up the tournament's second place position while completing the competition with a 2-1 record. Blue Eagles earning honors for their standout play were Cory Freeman, Jared Cooper and Chad McCall.
Davidson earned the most valuable player award for stellar performances both at the plate and on the mound. The MVP went 7-for-10 in the tournament, hitting two homeruns, one triple and four singles. He drove in five runs.
On the mound, Davidson pitched five innings, surrendering only one hit to the Flomaton Hurricanes and earned the victory.
