The T.R. Miller boys' track team went to the 1-3A state track meet at Troy State University last week and came back to Brewton as state champions.
The Tigers had 13 boys qualify in the sectional meet to compete in the state competition. They earned a total of 89.5 points in the state to finish well ahead of second place Sumter County High School, which scored 56 points.
Track coach Alan Baker said his team expected to compete at a high level during the state meet, but was concerned about the high level of competition.
