Yankees top A's in EB Little League

The Yankees defeated the A's in the only game contested this past week in the 9-10 year-old division of the East Brewton Little league.
A scheduled May 15 meeting between the A's and Cubs was rained-out and will be played at a later date.
With two weeks remaining in the regular season, the A's and Cubs are tied atop the standings with a 3-2 record.
The Yankees' latest win pulled them closer with a 2-4 mark.
Yankees 15, A's 7
In a May 13 matchup between the Yankees and A's, the Yankees took advantage of A's errors and walks to notch a decisive 15-7 win.
The Yankees outhit the A's by only a six to three margin, but five errors committed by the A's coupled with 12 walks allowed the Yankees to end the contest with a comfortable victory.
Gary McGraw notched the win for the Yankees in a starting role, surrendering but three hits while striking-out six.
Leaders at the plate for the Yankees were Gary McGraw, 2-for-2 with four runs scored and Tyler Sawyer, 1-for-2 with three runs scored.
Batting leaders for the A's were Tyler Ballard, 1-for-1 with two runs scored and Dillion Anthony, 2-for-3 with one run scored.
