Mr. Cebren W. Arrant, 89, died Saturday, May 24, 2003 at his residence. He was a native and life-long resident of Pollard, retired from T.R. Miller Mill Company and a member of Pollard United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Edna Arrant.
He is survived by one son, Jerry Arrant of Pollard; two daughters, Judy Arrant of Pensacola and Betty Moye of Pollard; two sisters, Rutha Mae Carden and Annie Will Chittenden, both of Brewton; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild and three step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 27, at 2 p.m. at Pollard Methodist Church with Rev. Frank Scott and Rev. Don Cox officiating. Burial followed at Catawba Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Cecil Raines, Raymond Carden, Ronnie Carden, James Arrant, Tom Eiland and Hugh White. Honorary pallbearers were Mel Beasley, Aubrey Godwin, C.C. Jackson, Doug Finlay, R.J. Bush and Sonny Chavers.
