Mr. Clyde Maxwell Simmons Jr., 69, died Friday, May 23, 2003 at his residence in Century. He was a native of Castleberry and a resident of the Century area all his life. During his working years, he was a tug boat captain with Brown Marine. He was a member of Saint Maurice Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothea Simmons of Century; three brothers, Anthony De Crescenzo and Michael De Crescenzo, both of New Haven, Conn. and Robert Douglas Simmons of Evergreen; two sisters, Mary Jane Bates of New Have, Conn. and Joyce Frye of Pensacola; daughters, Deborah Jean Simmons Roslak, Claudette Simmons, Rina Simmons Eastman and Ashley Nicole Simmons and a number of grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 27, at 11 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home.
