Mr. John Mitchell Lambert, 45, died Thursday, May 22, 2003 at a Jay hospital after an extended illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Brewton and was a civil engineer with the State of Alabama with 20 years of service. He attended the Damascus Assembly of God Church and was a member of the AOPA Pilots Association.
He is survived by Betty Lambert of Damascus; his wife, Jana Diane Lambert of Damascus; his grandfather, Clevie Dubose of Damascus; two brothers, Jimmy Lambert and Joey Lambert, both of East Brewton; one uncle, Bill Dubose of Pensacola and other family members.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 25, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Hudson and Rev. Doug Greer officiating. Burial followed at Damascus Cemetery at Douglas Chapel Church with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
