Calvin Lavan Stewart

Mr. Calvin Lavan Stewart, 61, died Friday, May 30, 2003 in Rabun. He was a native of Phillipsville, Ala. and a resident of Rabun since 1970. He was a retired carpenter and attended the Pentecostal-Holiness Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sarah Stewart of Rabun; four sons, Tracy Lavan Stewart, Michael Eugene Stewart and Marcus Dewayne Stewart, all of Rabun and Jeffery Niles Stewart of Dyas; a daughter, Wanda Nell McKinley of Perdido; four brothers, Everette J. Stewart of Bay Minette, Edward Donald Stewart and Winston Lavon Stewart, both of Rabun and Ivan I. Stewart of Perdido; five sisters, Frances Lee Hadley of Bay Minette, Evelyn Lucille Goins of Pine Grove, Dorothy Louise Goodson of Lillian, Mavis Jeanette Fickling of Panama City, Fla. and Brenda Spence of Walnut Hill, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 3, at 2 p.m. at the New Testament Church in Rabun with Bro. Bubba Rolin and Bro. Robert Lord officiating. Burial followed at Perdido Baptist Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Craig Hadley, Clint Sims, Chris Stacey, Wesley Stewart, Ken Homan, Jimmy Lassiter, Chris Hadley, Curt Rainbolt and Bo Brown.
