The Brewton 15-year old Babe Ruth All-Stars defeated Atmore9-2 to win the Area 2 tournament on Monday night.
The win, and area crown it brought, mean that the team will be traveling to Huntsville to play in the State tournament beginning July 12. Brewton's first game is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. on Thursday.
Brewton defeated Andalusia in the opening round of the Area tournament before beating Atmore in consecutive games.
On Tuesday night, the 14-year old All-Stars defeated Covington County by the score of 7-1 to win the Area 2 crown in their division.
Like the 15-year old team, the 14-year old All-Stars are scheduled to begin state tournament play in Huntsville this Thursday afternoon.
