Mrs. Leeta Ann Newman Lucas, 40, of Old Castleberry Road, died suddenly Tuesday, July 8, 2003. She was a native of Milton, Fla. and a long-time resident of Escambia County. She was a graduate of Baker High School and a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Ron Lucas of Brewton; her mother and step-father, Joyce and James Peacock; her father, Herbert Newton of Murray, Ky.; a brother, Mitch Leet Newton of Brewton; a step-sister, Becky Jo Jones of Murray; a step-brother, Greg Peacock of Spanish Fort and two nieces.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 11, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Earnie Calhoun officiating. Burial followed at Weaver Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
