Mrs. Frances Gertrude Graddy Dasinger, 90, died Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at a local hospital after an extended illness. She was a native and former resident of Bullock County, Ala. and had resided in Brewton for the past 40 years. She was a homemaker, a member of the Eastern Star and of First Baptist Church of Brewton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Dasinger.
She is survived by a son, Dr. Michael A. Dasinger of Brewton; a daughter, Shirley Capps of Perote, Ala.; a sister, Annie Pope of Smuteye, Ala.; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church with The Rev. Marshall Craver and Rev. Jack Fitts officiating. Burial will follow at Dasinger Family Cemetery in Smuteye with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Stephens Church in Brewton.
