Mrs. Janice Nolin Burke, 54, died Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at her residence in Lottie. She was a native of Brewton and a retired school teacher with the Escambia County School system. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carnell and Billie Thomas Nolin.
She is survived by her husband, Gib Burke of Lottie; her step-mother, Annie Ruth Nolin of Brewton; a son, Ben Burke of Summerdale; a daughter, Leigh Shaughnessy of Lottie; two sisters, Billie Jo Burns of Pace, Fla. and Sandra Hayes of Brewton and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 24, at 10 a.m. at Lottie Methodist Church with Rev. Bob Ross officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery in Brewton with Johnson-Quimby Funeral Home directing. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, Hope Lodge, 1104 Ireland Way, Birmingham, 35205.
