Robbery at gas station discovered

The Brewton Police Department responded to a break-in call on Monday morning at the Spudd's BP station on St. Nicholas Avenue.
According to officials with the department, the intruders gained access to the business through a broken window on the side of the building. The break-in occured sometime Sunday night or early Monday morning.
An undetermined amount of money was taken from the business, however no merchandise appears to have been taken, according to reports.
Responding to the call were officers Thomas Joyner, Matthew Shelton, Thomas Agerton, James Hicks, Russell Martin and Chief Mickey Lovelace.
The incident remains under investigation.
