Speeding motorists were the topic of the day at the East Brewton City Council meeting held Monday.
According to Dr. James Madison, pastor of the East Brewton Church of the Nazarene, speeding automobiles along Gillis and Dailey Streets have become such a problem that residents along the streets are expecting accidents to occur.
Echoing the opinion was Dailey Street resident Jack McGowin.
In his appeal Madison suggested four-way stops at the intersections of the streets.
Mayor Terry Clark said that a committee will be put to the task of looking into what is needed to help eliminate the problem.
