Mr. Thomas Levi Odom, 80, died Sunday, July 27, 2003 at a local hospital. He was a native of Pollard and a life-long resident of Brewton. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Coast Guard. He worked as an electrician with I.B.E.W. Local 676 in Pensacola and was a member of the Brewton First United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Janie Odom of Brewton; two sons, Thomas Lee Odom and Donald Scott Odom, both of Brewton; one brother, Albert Hill Odom of Monticello, Fla.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 29, 2003 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Willie Armstrong, Rev. Sam Trent and Rev. Frank Lloyd Scott officiating. Burial followed at Union Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Brian Harris, Greg Wilson, Wesley Odom, Matt Jordan, Bubba Bracken and Kenneth Coale.
