The Alabama Department of Corrections, acting through its agent the Alabama Forestry Commission, is accepting bids for approximately 5,800 tons of pine pulpwood in a first thinning in pine plantations. The sale areas consist of 138 woodland acres and are located in Sections 3,4,8,914,16, and 21, T2N, R6E in Escambia County, Alabama on land owned by the Alabama Department of Corrections and known as the Fountain Correctional Farm.
Sealed bids will be received until 1:30 p.m., august 28, 2003, at the Alabama Forestry Commission State Office at 513 Madison Avenue in Montgomery. The Alabama Department of Corrections reserve the right to reject any or all bids. Persons interested in bidding on this sale should contact Eddie Kirkland, State Lands Supervisor, at telephone number 334-745-0399, for a copy of the bid invitation.
