According to Smothers, the fourth day of practice will be Thursday, August 4. And a special midnight practice has been scheduled by the W.S. Neal team.
The team will take the field tomorrow morning at 12:01 a.m. Smothers says State High School Athletic Association rules govern the time at which teams may begin practices in full pads.
The special practice session is open to any fan who wants to come out and see how the team is playing.
There is no admission to attend the special midnight practice that will be held on the football field at the school.
Smothers stated that he had more than 50 young men who are currently participating in the football program.
The team has been working throughout the summer in running, weight training and other practice related activities. The team will host the Andalusia Bulldogs on August 22 in the school's annual Kick-off Classic. Game time will be 7 p.m.
