Youth dove hunts have been scheduled for Escambia County, according to the Alabama Department of Conservation and National Resources' Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division, sponsor of the events.
Hunters under the age of 16 are invited to participate in the event. Hunters must also be accompanied by an adult at least 25 years old, with a valid state hunting license and a Harvest Information Program (H.I.P) stamp.
Pre-registration is required for hunts scheduled for October 18 and October 25. To pre-register, call the Escambia County Extension Office at 867-7760 and speak with Ora Lett or Sue Cooper.
The hunts are being held in coopration with landowners, local volunteers, businesses and organizations.
