Mrs. Madie Avis White, 91, died Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003 in a Milton hospital. She had been a resident of Milton for the past 11 years coming from Pensacola where she lived for most of her life. She was of the Protestant faith and attended Westwood Christian Church while in Pensacola. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Levi White; sisters, Clara Mae Morris, Versie Crissman and Louise Forte and brothers, Ray Welch, Cyril Welch, Bennie Welch, Thomas Welch and Leroy Welch.
She is survived by a son, Michael D. White of Pensacola; three daughters, Hazel W. Drummond, Betty Butcher and Deborah Gail White, all of Milton; a brother, Willard Welch of Flomaton; two sisters, Mary Frances Godwin of Century, Fla. and Ernie Forte of Pensacola; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 12, at 10 a.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Forte officiating. Burial followed at Pineview Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing.
