Mrs. Evelyn Marie Hayes, 79, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2003 in a local hospital. She was a native of Conecuh County and a resident of Evergreen. She was a retired daycare worker.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Hayes of Evergreen; a son, William R. Hayes of Brewton; a daughter, Bobbye Marie Wilson of Frisco City; two brothers, Ernest F. Morrison of Nashville, Tenn. and Arthur G. Morrison of Atlanta; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 14, at 11 a.m. at Chapel of Cope Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Lasley officiating. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery in Evergreen with Cope Funeral Home directing.
