Dear editor:
Last week signs supporting the upcoming tax referendum were stolen from several homes in the neighborhood near the hospital. I realize that some people have valid concerns about Governor Riley's plan, but the right to express opinions should not be hindered by underhanded tactics. My hope is all Alabama voters will make an informed choice on this important issue affecting our future and the future of our children and grandchildren. Stealing signs has no place in this democratic debate.
