Injured man listed as stable

An Red Level man has been listed in stable condition following a fall at a construction site Thursday afternoon.
According to reports, Ricky Ward was working on the new bridge being built of the Conecuh River on Hwy. 4.
According to an unidentified supervisor at the job site, Ward fell a distance from construction materials onto a rocky surface. The fall was estimated to be about 16 to 20 feet according to reports.
Ward is a member of the work crew on the Parker Bridge construction project. He is employed with Volkert Construction Services based in Mobile.
Following the fall and a call to 911, Baptist Hospital's Life Flight was called to transport Ward to its hospital in Pensacola. The helicopter made a landing pad at the interesection of Hwy. 29 and Hwy. 4 just before 2:45 p.m.
Upon arriving at Baptist Hospital in Pensacola, Ward was taken into surgery where repairs were made to one of his eyelids, according to Radcliff.
Radcliff also stated that x-rays will be done to determine if any other injuries are present.
