In a brief meeting on Monday the East Brewton City Council discussed some concerns of residents.
An abandoned house on Gillis Street has been the subject of discussion in previous meetings of the Council. Concerns of conditions on the property have been brought before the Council by residents in the area.
The owner of the house has not responded to the City's requests concerning the property. A certified letter was returned unopened last week.
Councilman Dewayne King said that the attorney must now send a certified letter to the owner to try and make contact concerning the matter.
In other business, Councilwoman Bettie Jordan told other members of the council about a concern in her district.
Clark said he would take a look at the area with Street Department Manager Steve Dunaway and see if a solution could be found.
