Police search for hit and run driver

The Brewton Police Department is searching for a driver who was involved in a hit and run incident on Saturday night.
The Department answered a call just after 11 p.m. concerning a body in the roadway on South Boulevard, according to Brewton Police Chief David (Mickey) Lovelace.
Upon officers arriving at the scene the victim was identified as Eddie Sigler, 40, of Monroeville.
Reports show that Sigler was apparently walking north in the southbound lane when he was struck by an unknown vehicle. The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics and was transported to D.W. McMillan Hospital.
Life Flight was called to transport Sigler to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola were he was listed in stable condition following the incident.
Officers heading the investigation are Lt. Hutchins, Sgt. Suarez, Sgt. Martin and Sgt. Broughton.
