Mrs. Gordain B. Dunsford, 79, died Thursday, Sept. 4, 2003 in Century. She was a native of Damascus and a resident of Century since 1935. She attended the Baptist church.
She is survived by two sons, James Howard McCurdy Sr. and Eddie Truman Dunsford, both of Century; three daughters, Brenda Faye Scott and Helen June Odom, both of Century and Linda Elizabeth Roberson of Flomaton; a brother, Barney Brunson of Pensacola; two sisters, Modell Lowery of Century and Virginia McCurdy of East Brewton; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Sept. 7, at 4 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Earle Greene and Rev. Wallace Reid officiating. Burial followed at McCurdy Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were her grandsons, Dennis Spears, William Odom, Steve Scott, James Spears, Billy Odom Jr. and James Kornegay. Honorary pallbearers were great-grandsons, Michael Odom, Denny Spears, Michael Kornegay, Travis Odom, Jason Spears Jr. and Bradley Faulk, Joshua Spears and Stephen Scott.
