Mrs. Vivian Butterworth, 102, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003 in Brewton. She was a native of Birmingham, a former resident of Mobile and a resident of Flomaton since 1992. She was a member of Friendship Freewill Baptist Church and the VFW Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin M. Butterworth and three sons, Calvin Butterworth Jr., James E. Butterworth and Gene A. Butterworth.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann Green of Flomaton; 16 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Monday, Sept. 8, at 1 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Garden Cemetery with Rev. Mike Henderson officiating and Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were her great-grandsons.
