Betty Jean Dantzler, 67, died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003 at a Tampa, Fla. hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Brewton.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Willard, Billy Pietri, Wendy Haywood, Charlie Pietri, Melanie Harris, Fred Pietri, Mike Pietri and Bruce Pietri; sisters, Margie Dantzler and Charlyn Brandt, both of Uriah, Elizabeth Lawson of Century, Freddie Knotts of Flomaton and Emma Lou Harrison of Houston, Texas; two aunts, Lois Steele of Brewton and Neva Godwin of Pensacola; fifteen grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 20, at 3 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's witnesses on Mulrennen Road, Valrico, Fla.
Graveside services will be held Oct. 4, at 3 p.m. at Weaver's Cemetery on Appleton Road. Abbey Affordable Cremation handled the arrangements.
