The deadline for agencies to request grant money from the Greater Brewton Foundation is quickly approaching.
The Greater Brewton Foundation, which will meet in November to review the requests, asks that they be made in writing and submitted by October 31.
Requests may be made on behalf of any non-profit organization in the Brewton area.
Some previous recipients have included the Brewton Public Library, Habitat for Humanity, American Red Cross-East Escambia County Chapter, Brewton City Schools, W.S. Neal Middle and High Schools, Jefferson Davis Community College, the Christmas Project, the STARS program and the Brewton Tree and Beautification Board.
Each request should include a specific proposal regarding how funds will be used and how many people will benefit and a contact person's name and phone number.
Requests may be mailed ot P.O. Box 87, Brewton, AL 36427.
The Greater Brewton Foundation was established to assist local charitable agencies with funding needs. Money was raised locally to establish the endowment fund.
