East Brewton is not losing its Post Office, despite rumors that it was going to close.
That's the official word from Lynn Rives, the local Postmaster.
Coleman Fountain asked about the closing, and what role the East Brewton City Council had played in preventing it, at a September meeting.
At that time, Fountain claimed that several East Brewton residents had called U.S. Representative Jo Bonner and asked him to intervene.
The East Brewton branch Post Office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
It is located at 630 Forrest Ave. in East Brewton.
