Mrs. Cora Lee Capps Simmons Yeomans, 94, of East Brewton died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003 at a Jay, Fla. medical facility after an extended illness. She was a native and former resident of McKenzie before moving to Escambia County 89 years ago. She was a retired secretary/bookkeeper with the Escambia County Sheriff's Department and was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by three sons, Derrell Simmons and Aquilla Simmons, both of East Brewton and Randy Simmons of Brewton; one daughter, Doris Scott of Pensacola, Fla.; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Sunday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. at Green Acres Memorial Gardens with Rev. Thomas White officiating and Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
