Mrs. Ella Mae Davison, 79, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003 at an Atmore hospital. She was a native of Camden and a resident of Atmore for many years. She had worked in private homes, was a housewife and a member of Gaines Chapel AME Church in Atmore. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Davison.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Walker of Atmore; two brothers, Charlie Mack Freeman of Pensacola, Fla. and Jimmy Freeman of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, Oct. 22, from 1 to 8:30 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel and the body will lie in state for one hour prior to the service at the church.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 23 at 1 p.m. at Gaines Chapel AME Church with Rev. Timothy Days officiating. Burial will follow at Stallworth Cemetery with Turner Funeral Chapel directing.
