Chastity McCann Hutchcraft

Mrs. Chastity McCann Hutchcraft, 27, died Friday, Oct. 24, 2003 as a result of an automobile accident. She was a native of Speechiola, Brindisi, Italy, and had lived in Byrneville, Fla. prior to moving to the McCall community in 1993. She was a substitute teacher with the Escambia County, Ala. public schools, served as secretary for Tri-County Little League, and served on the board of Flomaton Little League. She was secretary of McCall Volunteer Fire Department and was named Volunteer of the Year in 2002. She was a member of St. Maurice Catholic Church. Her son, Jonathan Lane Hutchcraft, also died in the same accident.
She is survived by her husband, Joey Hutchcraft of the McCall community, a son, Tyler Hutchcraft of McCall; her parents, William "Billy" and Cynthia "Susie" McCann Jr. of Byrneville; a brother, Billy McCann III of Byrneville; her grandparents, Bill and Ethel McCann Sr. of Byrneville and her in-laws, Gene and Betty Hutchcraft.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Maurice Catholic Church with Father Adrian Cook and Rev. Marcus D. Caraway officiating. Burial followed at Beulah Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Heath Gibson, Chad Pruitt, Steve Stanton, Robert Crenshaw, Hugh White and Ronnie Thompson.
