Mr. Eva Ida Chavers, 86, died Sunday, Oct. 26, 2003 at her residence. She was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County, Ala. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Home Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, I.B. Chavers and a brother, Herman Powell.
She is survived by a son, Hollis Chavers of Flomaton; two daughters, Nell C. Franklin of Flomaton and Lois Hamm of Kelso, Wash.; a brother, R.C. Powell of Flomaton; a sister, Eunice Smith of Flomaton; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 28, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Home Holliness Church with Rev. G.W. Birdson officiating. Burial followed at Pleasant Home Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Ed Richburg, Brian Richburg, Steve Richburg, Arthur David Hales, Gam Graves and Billy Campbell.
