Mrs. Agnes Congleton, 97, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2003 in a Jay, Fla. hospital. She was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County, Ala. She was a homemaker and a member of Pollard United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alva Congleton and her son, Arthur Lee "Pete" Congleton.
She is survived by a brother, Mack McCormick of Aurora, Mo.; a sister, Mary Louise Farrell of Ft. White, Fla. and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 2 p.m. with Rev. James Johnson officiating. Burial followed at Catawba Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
