Mrs. Vonnie V. Johnson Tedder, 75, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003 in a Jay, Fla. hospital. She was a native of Megargel, Ala. and lived most of his her life in Century. She was a homemaker and a member of The Gospel Light Temple. She was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Fields and a grandson, Ollie Johnson.
She is survived by five sons, Lewis Johnson of Milton, Fla., Joseph Johnson of Bluff Springs, Fla., Ollie Johnson and John Johnson, both of Century and J.B. Johnson Jr. of Byrneville, Fla.; one daughter, Rachel Kelly of Houma, La.; one sister Helen Clark of Wetumpka; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Elizabeth Johnson.
Funeral services were held Monday, Nov. 10, at 2 p.m. at The Gospel Light Temple with Rev. Wallace Reid and Rev. Annie Wright officiating. Burial followed at Ray's Chapel Cemetery in Bogia with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Ollie Johnson, Joe Johnson, John Johnson, J.B. Johnson Jr., Lewis Johnson and Phillip Kennedy.
