The Escambia County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) has arrested a Brewton Man in connection with the robbery of three students at Jefferson Davis Community College last Thursday.
James "Muscle" Kiser was taken into custody Friday afternoon on Sowell Road in Brewton, according to ECSO investigator Captain Chuck McMullen.
Kiser, McMullen said, was identified by one of the victims in the robbery, who recognized him as a former classmate.
ECSO investigators are continuing to look for two more suspects in the robbery.
Anyone with information can call McMullen at 809-0741, or ECSO investigator Lee Hall at 809-0647.
The robbery took place on Thursday, Nov. 13 at Lakeview Apartments, a complex owned and operated by the college.
The sheriff's office was alerted to the robbery around midnight Thursday. They were told that three students were in their room when three men described only as black males entered, one of them armed with a pistol. The three men forced the students to hand over cash and a cell phone.
During the robbery, McMullen stated, one of the students was taken outside by one of the robbers, and the other two students got into a scuffle with the remaining two robbers.
