Mrs. Margaret Alma Franklin Evans, 90, died Friday, Nov. 28, 2003 in a Jay, Fla. hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Pollard, former resident of Texas and a long-time resident of Escambia County, Ala. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Sammy Evans of Brewton; a brother, Edmond Franklin of Brewton; a sister, Hester Ruth Booth of Bay Minette; two grandsons and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Sunday, Nov. 30, at 3 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Joel Brister officiating. Burial followed at Catawba Springs Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
