Mr. R.J. "Snuffy" Lane Jr., 88, died Saturday, Dec. 6, 2003 in Atmore. He was a native of San Antonio, Texas and a resident of Atmore for the past 35 years. He was an employee of Exxon/Mobile for 40 years.
He is survived by his wife, Imagene Lane of Atmore; five sons, R.J. Lane III of Picayune, Miss., Donnie Griffey and Roger Griffey, both of Atmore and Johnny Dale Griffey and and Teddy Wayne Griffey, both of Mobile; four daughters, Jodie Dickerson of Picayune, Betty Jean Hood of LaGrange, Texas, and Joann Durbin and Pamela Brantley, both of Atmore; 24 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Sunday, Dec. 7, at 3 p.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery with Marilyn and Don Lawrence officiating and Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing.
