Richard Keith Lucas, 33, of Brewton was found dead from an apparent traffic accident late Friday night.
The Escambia County Sheriff's Department reported no indication of foul play.
According to Major Mike Murphy of the sheriff's department, Lucas had not been seen since Tuesday night, and his family reported him missing Wednesday.
Thursday morning, the sheriff's department received a report of signs of an accident near Parker Bridge on Highway 4.
Divers with the Escambia County Rescue Squad confirmed that a vehicle was submerged in the Conecuh River Thursday afternoon.
Due to swift currents, Daphne Search and Rescue was called in to help with the recovery effort.
Divers recovered Lucas' body early Friday morning.
The death will be investigated by the Alabama Department of Public Safety, the sheriff's department reported.
