Mrs. Eva Mae Smith, 91, died Saturday, Dec. 13, 2003 in a local hospital. She was a native of Monroe County and had lived in Castleberry for most of her life. She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton Smith.
She is survived by a half-sister, Mary Elizabeth Bailey of Axis and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 1 p.m. at Oak Grove Holiness Church with Rev. David Baggett officiating. Burial followed at Oak Grove Holiness Church Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
