Mr. Clifford Thomas Monk, 76, of Laurel, Miss. died Wednesday, Dec.17, 2003 at his residence. He was retired from Larco Dilling and a member of Gonzales Baptist Church in Pensacola. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Thomas and Martha Alice Monk; a brother, Daniel Jackson Monk and a sister, Peggy G. Lambert.
He is survived by his wife, Lucille Griffith Monk of Laurel; two sons, Thomas Eugene Monk and Theodore Roderick Monk, both of Brewton; two daughters, Janet Elaine Sullivan of Laurel and Vicky Paulette Pittman of Brewton; a brother, Richard Kenneth Monk of Milton, Fla.; three sisters, Myrtle Clark of Greenville, Ala. and Mattie Lou Barker and Etta Ree Moye, both of Pensacola; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Dec. 19, at 2 p.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel with Rev. Brent Benson officiating. Burial followed at Big Creek Cemetery in Jones County with Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Charles Robert Hayes, Timothy Lynn Hayes, Michael Scott Hubbard, James Robert Barnes and Arnold Overstreet.
