Mr. Robert Cecil Bailey, 81, of Old Castleberry Road died Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Sardis, Miss., former resident of Cherokee Village, Ark. and long-time resident of Brewton. He was a member of North Brewton Baptist Church, U.S. Army veteran, member of Telephone Pioneers, past president of East Memphis Kiwanis Club and a retired technician from South Central Bell. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Juanita Bailey of Brewton; two sons, Robert Earl Bailey of Memphis, Tenn. and Lee W. Bailey of Maurmelle, Ark.; one daughter, Cindy Lannom of Brewton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 20, at 11 a.m. at Family Funeral Care with Rev. Cecil Kirk officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
