Mrs. Annie Ree Lanier, 84, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003 in an Oneonta hospital. She lived most of her life in the Brewton area. She was a receptionist at D.W. McMillan Memorial Hospital for a number of years and was a member of Ridge Road Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Johnnie Lanier of Oneonta; a son, Johnnie J. Lanier of Mobile; a daughter, Jamie Pace of Trussville; a sister, Lois Oglesby of Millington, Tenn.; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Craver's Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Cox officiating. Burial followed at Fort Crawford Cemetery with Craver's Funeral Home directing.
