The Escambia County Sheriff's Office has arrested a father and son suspected of acting together in robbing a number of homes and businesses in Conecuh County.
In a prepared release, the sheriff's office announced Friday it had arrested Thomas Franklin Raines, 47, and William Russell Raines, 21, Thursday night.
The suspected burglars were staying in a trailer on Jaybee Lane in Brewton when deputies -- assisted by agents with the 21st Judicial District Task Force -- took them into custody without incident.
Both men were held in the Escambia County Jail until Friday morning, when deputies with the Conecuh County Sheriff's Office came down and got them. Both men are now being held in the Conecuh County Jail on $150,000 bond each. William Russell Raines has been charged with one count of burglary, first degree, and Thomas Franklin Raines has been charged with one count of burglary, third degree. There are additional charges pending against both men.
