East Brewton's city council considered a proposal to join other area communities in supporting a proposed industrial park at their regular council meeting Monday, Jan. 12.
Yank Lovelace presented the plan for the Shotgun Hill industrial park to the council and asked for their support toward further research of the site.
East Brewton would be asked, along with other entities in the area, to contribute no more than $4,000 to Phase 2 research.
Among other business items, the council heard Sam Bagwell propose the city's purchase of 6 acres of land from him.
The council also unanimously agreed to designate January as School Board Member Recognition Month.
