Myrtle Inez Lowrey Hammond

Mrs. Myrtle Inez Lowrey Hammond, 93, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004 in a Pensacola health care facility. She was a native of Canoe and had been a resident of the Century community for 80 years. She worked for St. Regis as an operator in her working years. She attended the New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Bruce Hammond and son, James Cabansis.
She is survived by a daughter, Audrey Hammond of Century; two grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. at Flomaton Funeral Home with Rev. James Peacock officiating. Burial followed at Canoe Freewill Cemetery with Flomaton Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Ray Hammond, James Mathis, Douglas Snow, Russell Lowrey, Buel Coleman and Erskine Tomberlin.
