Mr. Nathan Leon "Joe" Glenn Sr., 59, died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004 in a Pensacola hospital. He was a native and lifetime resident of Byrneville. He worked for Penrod Drilling Company for a number of years and attended the Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adrian and Luverne Glenn; three sisters, Betty Thornton, Cindy Glenn and Frances Cofield and two brothers, Quinton Glenn and Randy Glenn.
He is survived by his wife, Marcella Glenn of Byrneville; two sons, Nathan Glenn Jr. of LaBelle, Fla. and Edward Glenn Sr. of Century, Fla.; a daughter, Donna Theresa Moye of Flomaton; two brothers, Danny Glenn of Bay Minette and Roy Glenn of Clinton, La.; seven sisters, Linda Amerson of Bratt, Fla., Edna Thornton and Katrina Johnson, both of Byrneville, Donna Reaves of McDavid, Fla. and Wessie Rowell, Charlie Cruz and Judy Joe Phillips, all of Jacksonville, Fla. and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 27, at 2 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Shelton Kindig and Rev. James Baker officiating. Burial followed at Beulah Chapel Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Kiley Reaves, Kevin Reaves, Timbo Cofield, Devon Nelson, Keith Nelson and Bubba Glenn.
