Mr. James Wilson Parker, 84, of Mayo Street in East Brewton, died Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2004 at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native and life-long resident of Escambia County. He was a member of East Brewton First Baptist Church, U.S. Army Veterans having served in World War II, member of the American Legion, National Rifle Association and retired from Civil Service at Whiting Field.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred Parker of East Brewton; a son, Danny Parker of East Brewton; a daughter, Liz Caylor of East Brewton; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Caylor and Rev. Joel Brister officiating. Burial followed at Green Acres Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Williams Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing.
