Jefferson Davis Community College volleyball coach Misti Nims has inked two more recruits for next season.
Sonie Demko of Baldwin County High School was signed as a setter. Demko is also expected to play for Nims on the softball field at JDCC in 2005.
"Sonie is quick and smart on the court. She has a lot of athleticism," Nims said.
One of Demko's teammates from Baldwin County is also headed to JDCC. Jessica Powell was signed as a middle hitter.
"Jessica hits with pretty good power and she is pretty consistent," Nims said. "At 5-10, she will give us some size which we desperately need. A 5-10 player still isn't huge for college volleyball, but that is taller than anybody we had last year."
Earlier Nims signed setter Jennifer Windham of Clanton and outside hitter Carly Dougherty of Mobile.
"We still hope to sign a couple more players for next season before we're done," Nims said.

T.R. Miller Tigers tight end Trent Davidson was ranked 12th in the Mobile Register's list of top players in the state for last season. That poll included 18 players. Davidson was ranked 101st in the Mobile Register's Super Southeast rankings, which included all southeastern states.
Davidson also made the Forrest Davis Recruiting Annual All South First Team for offense.
While the official signing period for high school football players begins Wednesday, Davidson will wait until Thursday to make his signing with Alabama official.
That will occur at 6 p.m. during a reception at the T.R. Miller Field House. Friends are welcome to attend.
T.R. Miller Lady Tigers sophomore basketball player Joy McCorvey moved into sixth place on the school's all-time career scoring list with her 23 points at Escambia County Tuesday.
That performance enabled McCorvey to pass Taylor DeFrancisco, who had 885 points. McCorvey's next target is Andrea Ward with 980.
McCorvey's 17 points in Friday's game against Greenville gave her 916 for her career and moved her within 84 of 1,000. Only four T.R. Miller girls (Deanna Jackson, Felicia Jackson, Ashley Samuel and Valerie Etheridge) have reached that plateau.
