Mrs. Carolyn Martin, 46, died Thursday, Feb. 5, 2004 in Brewton. She was a native of Atmore and a resident of Stanley Crossroads for most of her life. She was a caregiver and attended the Cross Point Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a husband, Robert S. Day, her father, Jesse Buckhault; a sister, Janice Marie Brunson and a brother, Jerry Buckhault.
She is survived by her son, Robert Day of Atmore; a daughter, Leigh Ann Day of Centerville; her mother, Mildred Jordan Buckhault of Stanley Crossroads; a brother, Perry Buckhault of Stanley Crossroads; a sister, Audrey Maddox of Little River and a grandson.
Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 9, at 2 p.m. at Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. J.T. Guyton and Sister Kathy Stophel officiating. Burial followed at Magnolia Cemetery with Eastside Chapel Funeral Home directing. Pallbearers were Jesse Buckhault, James M. Buckhault, Perry Joe Buckhault, James C. Maddox, Phillip Maddox and George Batz. Honorary pallbearers were Donnie Macks, Wayne Turner, Brandon Wiggins, Jeffery Rodger, Don Barnhill, Steven Burkett, Mitchell Boyette and Wesley Stewart.
